● 22 Achievers Fund grants awarded to support students with
economic and academic needs throughout the district (tutoring,
summer camp enrichment support, etc.: $73,497 expended
● 20 Classroom, school and district-wide grants awarded to
support innovative instructional ideas: $40,506 expended
● 9 Professional Development Impact Grants to schools and district
collaboratives: $29,258 expended
● 32 Small grants awarded to support all novice teachers with
supplies and materials: $3,200 allocated
● Annual Teacher Supply Store to support over 500 teachers with free
supplies and materials: $38,627
● 86 Awards to recognize outstanding teachers and staff: $42,287
● 100+ Local Businesses participating in the Educators’ Extra
Credit Program to provide discounts to all CHCCS staff
● Teacher Presenter Grants: $4,297
● 18 Scholarships to teachers and school nurses pursuing National
Board certification or recertification through NBPTS: $6,090
● Scholarships awarded to CHCCS Students: $61,492
● Food for Students support: $249,942 ($354,918 since March 2020)
● Covid Relief for CHCCS families: $227,318
● BRMA Program support $7,528
That is a total of $775,959 and does not include the numerous pass-through grants we manage for
CHCCS which totalled $987,849 . That is over $1,763,808 last year to support CHCCS – at every
school; for every teacher; and every child.
