  • 53 Achievers Fund grants to support students with economic and academic needs throughout the district (tutoring, summer camp enrichment support, etc.): $132,090
  • 37 Classroom, school and district-wide grants to support innovative and creative instructional ideas: $47,276
  • 2 International Teacher Travel grants awarded to promote global collaboration for teachers and students: $2,000
  • 12 Professional Development Impact Grants to schools and district collaboratives: $32,476
  • 27 Small grants to support all novice teachers with supplies and materials: $2,700
  • 627 Vouchers for the Annual Teacher Supply Store to support teachers with free supplies and materials: $35,811
  • Midyear supply drop to 11 elementary schools $20,720
  • 84 Awards to recognize and reward outstanding teachers and staff at the Recognition Reception: $29,250
  • 117 Local Businesses participating in the Educators’ Extra Credit Program to provide discounts to all CHCCS staff
  • 37 Scholarships to Teachers pursuing National Board Certification or Re-Certification through NBPTS: $17,500
  • 14 Scholarships for Teachers who were selected to present at National or State Conferences: $4,257
  • College Scholarships for Students graduating from CHCCS: $77,662
  • COVID Relief for CHCCS families: $104,976
This is a total of $506,718 and does not include the numerous pass-through grants we manage for CHCCS which totaled  $618,943. That is over $1,125,661 last year to support CHCCS – at every school, for every teacher, and every child.
