2013 PSF Teaching Chair Award Nominations

The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Public School Foundation supports nine multi-year Chair Awards across multiple teaching disciplines in the school district. This year, two of these Chair awards are open for nominations. Click here to learn more about the PSF Chair Award Process

Upper Elementary Chair – Grade 5

The second elementary teaching chair was established as an endowment to honor outstanding, innovative teachers of grades 3-5 district-wide. The award is presented in a two-year cycle, and this year’s Chair will be awarded to a 5th grade teacher.

Zora Rashkis Chair for Excellence in Teaching Middle School Language Arts

An endowment fund was created to honor Mrs. Rashkis, who retired from teaching at Phillips and Culbreth Middle Schools. The chair is awarded to outstanding middle school language arts teachers in a two-year cycle.
